World Geography, Conservation of Natural Resources

I have worked as an adjunct faculty member of the Center for American Education, Singapore since 1998. My specialty is in the Social Sciences, with particular reference to the "Geography" area of studies. I therefore offer both "World Geography" and "Conservation of Natural Resources" and can also teach "Introduction to Geography" and "World in the Twentieth Century" if required.

I have traveled widely (visiting more than 60 countries) and have also worked abroad - in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland as well as in Singapore. I believe that no one can be truly "trained" lecturer in these subjects unless that person has extensive travel experience and an understanding of other cultures and societies. Such experience can help to illuminate classroom teaching by providing anecdotes about people and their lives from all corners of the world.

Now a citizen of Singapore, I hold both BA (Honors) and Ph.D. degrees in Geography and my research interests focus on the region of Southeast Asia.

I believe that the Center for American Education, Singapore is one of the best American colleges in Asia, both from the point of view of academic standing, and the quality and friendliness of its faculty.
