"My Ph.D. was in 18th - Century British Fiction, with a heavy concentration on the novels of Daniel Defoe, Samuel Richardson, and Henry Fielding. I came to Singapore in 1994, where I was Lecturer and then Assistant Professor of Literature at the National Institute of Education (N.T.U.). In August 2003, I moved to the Center for American Education where I currently teach courses in Children's Literature, American and World Literature  and English Composition; administratively, I am the dean of the undergraduate program and serve as student advisor. My publications have appeared in Studies in Newspaper and Periodical History, The Christian Scholar's Review, World Literature Written in English, and The Explicator."
