GLOBALIZATION  AND TECHNOLOGY TALK

The University of South Florida’s Marketing Department continues its successful partnership with the Center for American Education in offering a business degree in Singapore.  The USF Bachelor in Business Administration degree in Singapore has concentrations in international business and marketing, allowing students in Singapore to earn an American degree without leaving the region.

The courses are taught by USF marketing faculty who travel to Singapore, teaching a typical 16-week course in just three weeks through twice-daily extended class and lecture periods.  We are honored to have Dr Rosann Collins, who is teaching ‘Global Information System’ at Center for American Education now to deliver the above talk on the following date and time.

We would like to invite all Polytechnic Business School lecturers and Year 2 & 3 students to attend this talk.

GLOBALIZATION  AND TECHNOLOGY

In this talk, Dr. Rosann Webb Collins will discuss the synergy between globalization of business and the use and development of information technology.  Dr. Collins has been teaching and researching the global use of technology for over a decade, and her book, Crossing Boundaries, addresses the cultural and other challenges in developing and using those technologies.  Dr. Collins will explain how information and communications technologies enable globalization, and how the global environment impacts the nature of the technology.  A focus of the talk will be the knowledge and skills individuals need in order to be successful in the IT-enabled, fast-changing, 21st century world of work.
